I Haven't been doing as many large scale projects as of late, I've been too busy with Irish Dance classes.   I am the school seamstress so my focus lately has been on sewing.  With that being said, I did make origami flowers for all the dancers at the school to wear for St. Patrick's Days this year.  Here are some different hair accessories I have made with origami.

This is a Rhombicuboctahedron, each point is made from a full 12" x 12" piece of paper. It is hard to represent how big this really is with pictures, but here you go!

crafty update

so here one of my newest creations. I am having a lot of fun making these large Wall Flowers.

I have sent in my application for an Artist's Alley table at Mecha-con this coming September. I'm just waiting for my confirmation email :) I am so excited!!

Well it has almost been a year since my last post. This year has been a little quiet with the papercrafts, I haven't done any shows or cons. I am going to try and do one of the Oak Alley Plantation craft fairs next year. I have a few new creations that need to be photographed. I will update with pictures very soon.

I have decided to make this blog a gallery of everything I do, not just paper crafts. I love making costumes and recently have discovered the joy of quilting. I am currently working on a new papercraft wreath as well as some custom pattern drafting for me and my husband.

The year is almost over!

Here is a second design of wreath. This one took less pieces than the first design, but it actually looks a bit fuller.

I have plans to make at least three more wreaths, in different color schemes.

OK. So its been a while since I updated this blog. I haven't been doing too much, actually got back into sewing. I do have a new origami project to share though:

This was a fun project for me, I bought a wire wreath frame and wired all of the individual origami pieces to it. I am thinking about making origami sculptures with this method.

needed update

I haven't been updating as much as I should. Well lets see.......I have a table at Louisianime again, thats September 10-12 in Baton Rouge. I am trying to restock my wares at the moment, it takes a while to do so when you procrastinate. I am also trying to come up with some new items, I will post some pictures as soon as I take them. One thing I am working on is a mask. I need to make some Halloween paapercrafts to sell, I just can't think of what to make.

I hope to get some good business at the con this year, wish me luck!

Tired

Well I have very successfully survived this Mechacon weekend. After this weekend I feel like I am that much closer to making my papercrafts into a living. My next con will be in september, Louisianime in Baton Rouge to be exact, already got the table. I will be updating very soon with pictures of some newer things I've made.

new things I have been making

Here is some of my newer stuffs. I decided that I needed unique ways of displaying my works so I made a few things. For those interested, I have a table in the Artists' Alley at Mecha-con which will be in New Orleans July 16-18. Come find me!!
This is an earring and hairclip tree. The earings and hairclips are made from wishing stars and glass beads. the tree itself is paper with wire that is wrapped in thread, on a wooden base.

New year, New Opportunities

Well, its the new year, Happy New Year!! Well, I have some goals set for myself, but I'm not telling. I have this theory that if I tell my goals they will never be reached. I know silly, huh. Anyway, I will update as things happen. Here is a photo of my table at the fair.

I have gotten an order for some Baby Shower Party Favors that I am currently working on. I will post the completed project.

I haven't been working with as much paper right now because I have begun to pick up unfinished sewing projects for the time being. But never fear, I will pick it again soon.

quick update

Well, Saturday will be the first actual fair I will be selling my stuff at. I am really excited!! hopefully this will be the beginning to something much bigger. It will be at the International School of Louisiana in New Orleans. wish me luck!

Ok, I'm not the most attentive blogger, so...........I am finally updating by blog, yep right now. This pretty sunflower was the product of a car ride from New Orleans to Daytona. Yes its amazing what can happen in a 12 hour car ride. ^_^

I have deceided to put together a catalog of what I can do (complete with prices and ordering info). It will help keep everything a bit more organized. I am trying to get a bit of a structured, business looking, thingy together so I can start getting tables in cons. I am trying for some smaller Anime cons at the moment. I have this dream of selling at Ren Faires.
Gotta start small.

It Begins

Well, I have followed a trend and started myself a Blog. yay!?! Well, I am here to share my papercraft works with the world. Its mainly going to be my gallery until I can upload a website, which I am working on. I will be uploading new pics as I take them. I have been playing with paper for over four years now. I love paper!! (and glitter!!!!!!) I do other things besides papercrafts, I sew and make jewerly as well. I would like to sell most of the items I make (I can custom make any thing), so if anything sparkes an interest please feel free to message me and we will work something out. so keep an eye on my page because I will continue to add new things. ^_^
